Jerry Leroy Williams, 80, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, in Waco. A visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 6:00pm, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.

Jerry was born November 30, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas to Clarence and Ila Fay Williams. He attended West High School in Wichita. In 1960, he joined the US Army, where he received the rank of Specialist 4th Class. He served in South Korea and was awarded the Rifleman’s Badge. After he was honorably discharged in 1962, he became a commercial scale technician.  He owned and operated Central Texas Scale until he retired in 2003.

He married Nelda Tarver in 1983 and they were happily married for 39 years. Jerry was a member of Hewitt Community Church. He enjoyed remodeling his home, working on the lights at the church, and was very passionate about the scale business.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ila Fay Williams; stepmother, Hazel Williams; brothers, Billie Williams and Keith Williams; and great-granddaughter, Brinlee Raine Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Nelda Williams; children, Troy Williams and wife, Sandra, and Monty Williams and wife, Leslie; stepchildren, Deborah Lohoefer and husband, Darrell and Gary Zuspann; grandchildren, Misti Larson and husband, Sean, Justin Williams and wife, Audrey, Matthew Williams and wife, Danielle, Bethany Williams, Landon Williams, Selah Williams, and Dawson Williams; step grandson, Anthony Mitchell and wife, Kayla; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Preston, and McKenzie Larson, and Tessa, Presley, Weston, Jameson, and Annaleigh Williams; step-great-granddaughter, Emerson Mitchell; sisters, Donna Mullins, Kristian Rollings, Linda Rollings, and Teresa Muhlhausen; brothers, Michael Williams, Bobby Williams, Kenneth Williams, Gary Williams, and Rick Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
