Debbie Jana January, 67, of Bellmead, Texas, passed away on 07 December 2020. She was born to parents Evan Vernon January and Reba Loveta January, on 04/11/1953 in Waco, Texas.

She graduated from Bellmead - La Vega High School and was a member of the Girls State Champion Volleyball Team in 1971 that same year.

She went on to study at Sam Houston State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History including a High School Teaching Credential in 1974. She later returned to school at Texas State Technical Institute and received a Computer Programming Certification.

Debbie worked as a Texas Dept. of Corrections Parole Officer, Olan Mills Photography Accounting Officer, Dell Computers- Austin branch Programmer, and an Insurance Claims Processor. After a total of 34 years of faithful work at various professions, she retired in 2008. In February of 2015, her health required her to move to Crestview Healthcare Residence in Waco, Texas where she lived out her days.

She enjoyed attending Meadowbrook Baptist Church, visiting/playing games and helping family and friends, playing both softball and hardball with the semi-pro Texas Women Travel ball leagues, painting, and writing on social media while she had the ability.

Debbie is survived by her Eldest Brother Henry Thomas “Tom” January of Rockdale, Texas, Sister-In-Laws: Debbie Jean January of The Bend, San Saba and Gladys Pearl Swaner of Corpus Christi. Nephews: Vernon Glenn January and wife Leslie of Dallas, Clint Lester January, and partner Randy of Houston, Joel Benjamin January and wife Denise of Houston, Niece Amy Jane January Stewart and husband David of Copperas Cove, Great Nephews and Nieces: Brandon January, Austin January, Lauren Williams, Karen Billings, Megan Stewart, Abigail January, and Luke January. She is survived by 94-year-old Aunt Julia Gamboa-Meyer and many more January and Meyer cousins.

She was preceded in death by ever faithful Father E.V., loving Mother Reba, beloved brother Michael January, Niece A‘Lisa Lynn Williams.

The family has entrusted Waco Memorial Funeral Home with the arrangements

Graveside Services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the High Valley Cemetery in Bend, Texas.
