Thomas Moore

January 23, 1948 — November 19, 2017

Thomas Daniel "Danny" Moore, age 69, returned to his Heavenly home on November 19, 2017 after a valiant battle with several illnesses. His firm belief in God supported him and his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Danny is survived by his wife, Delia Moore; his children, Lauren Hagan, Jennifer Davis, and Christina Moore; his grandsons, Jackson and Rowen Davis, and Parker and Hunter Hagan; and his aunt, Gertrude Mogg. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Phlorene Moore; and his sisters, Deborah Rousseau and Dana Moore.
He was born in Sacramento, California on January 23, 1948. Danny graduated from Waco High School (formerly Richfield High) and attended college at Baylor University. He served in the Armed Forces from 1968-1971.
Danny had a lifelong love of music and was an original member and lead singer of the popular Waco band, The Morticians, playing 50s and 60s music. The Music Association of Central Texas inducted The Morticians into the Hall of Recognition in 2007.  He enjoyed politics, watching old movies, and always had a clever joke to share. Danny resided in San Antonio with his family since 1987 where he performed in and directed numerous local S.T.A.G.E., Inc. theater productions. Danny will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew him.

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep and him.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
