Theresa Lewis

August 13, 1939 — May 28, 2024

Waco

Theresa May Lewis, of Waco, TX, went home to be with Jesus on May 28, 2024.  A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 11am at the Bosqueville Methodist Church at 7327 Rock Creek Road, Bosqueville, TX 76708 with a luncheon to follow in the activity center.

Theresa was born on August 13, 1940 in Granite Falls, NC to Mertie (Hollar) Munday and John Edward Munday.  Theresa was the fifth child of seven.  Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Lewis, and her siblings Rachel Bolick, Ray Munday, Maynard Munday, Janet Stroud, and Johnny Munday.  She is survived by her last remaining sister, Martha Solomon Jarrels; her nephew Shane Solomon and his children; niece Judy Friedman; nephews Kevin and Neal Stroud; and sister-in-law Carol Meer.

Theresa lived in Waco for over 30 years and was a long time member of Bosqueville Methodist Church during that time.  She was a kind, generous, loving person.  If you ever met her, she would remember you.  Her infectious smile spread joy everywhere she went.  She loved Jesus and was looking forward to being reunited with those she loved so deeply.  She will be dearly missed by her family, her church family, and particularly by close Waco friends Janet Vaughn and Brooklyn Wynveen and family.
