Sonia DeLeon Shook

Sonia Shook, 54, of Gatesville passed early morning November 6, 2023 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. A Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Sonia was born in Monterrey, Mexico to Homero and Alicia DeLeon. She graduated from Waco High School in 1987.

Sonia will be deeply missed as she was loved by so many. She was a caring, loving, strong woman and an incredible mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Sonia was preceded in death by her father, Homero DeLeon.

She is survived by her mother, Alicia DeLeon; her son, Floyd Shook; her daughter, Alizia Shook; two sisters, Nancy Miller and Suzanna Garza; and three brothers, Homer, Eliud, and Ricardo DeLeon.
