Raul Aguilar, Jr., 66, of Waco passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.

He was born August 21, 1957 in Waco to the late Raul Aguilar, Sr. and Carolina D. Castillo Aguilar. He attended school in Waco, graduating from Jefferson Moore High School. Later he would follow in his father's footsteps by working in the grocery and landscaping fields.

Raul was known for his unwavering positivity and his ability to always see the good in any situation. He had a heart of gold and never hesitated to share whatever he had with others. His kindness extended beyond material possessions as he was always willing to offer prayers for those around him. In fact, he was affectionately known as a "Prayer Warrior" for his devout faith and willingness to pray for anyone in need. Raul's comforting words of "God bless you" echoed through the lives of many who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family was paramount to Raul, who is now reunited with his father, Raul Aguilar, Sr., and mother, Carolina D. Castillo Aguilar. He is survived by his brothers, Albert Aguilar (Sallie) and Thomas Aguilar (Lisa); sister, Gloria Aguilar; nieces and nephews, Clay, Leah, Caelie (Eric), Thomas David, and John Arbor. Additionally, he leaves behind aunts, Lillie and Vera; numerous cousins including his special cousin Rita; as well as many cherished friends.

In memory of Raul Aguilar Jr., may we all strive to emulate his kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith as we carry forward his spirit of love and compassion in our own lives. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
