Princeton De’Shawn Awbrey, 33, passed away August 24, 2023, in tragic accident, in Waco, Texas. He was born December 20, 1989, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was the beloved son of Francie “Terre´” Awbrey and Jackie Lee Melvin.

Princeton was a remarkable individual who lived life to the fullest and was known for his adventurous, carefree spirit. He found joy and freedom by living his life (in the words of his father-in-law, Donald Keel), “balls to the wall.” With his handsome face and outgoing personality, Princeton was always the life of any party he entered.

He touched the lives of many people with his spontaneous personality and audacious outlook on life. Princeton was always eager to share his knowledge with others and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a jack of all trades and loved to get his hands dirty. Princeton loved his family. He always looked forward to spending time with them and his close friends. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Princeton was preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandmothers, Dorothy Melvin and Susan Abdel-Kader; stepfather, Harvey Watson; mother-in-law, Shawn Keel; and brother, Tyess Torrez.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Jessika Horton and their 2 boys, Princeton Lee, Jr., and Payden Cash; Britany Keel and their 3 sons, Jonathan Chance, Jayden Prince, and Jordan De’shawn; Tabatha Moomaw and their son, Dathan Kiyzer; mother, Francie “Terre´” Awbrey; father, Jackie Lee Melvin; father in-law, Donald Keel; sisters, Misti Melvin and Korey Brown, Vanessa Melvin and Robert Porch, and Kaylee Torrez; brothers, Jackie Melvin, Jr., Michael Awbrey, and Jeffrey Jones; aunts and uncles, Jessica Elasmar, Mitzie and Rick James, Vickie Melvin, Untina Melvin, Becky Hamilton, Donald McGregor and Bennie Melvin; and numerous other family, friends and loved ones.
