Patsy Jo Cate was born October 6, 1935, near Streetman, Texas in Navarro County, to Teddy Floyd and Ethel Scott Cate.  She started school in Tehuacana, Texas and midway through second grade, moved to Wortham, Texas where she remained until graduating from High School in 1953 as Salutatorian of her class. She went to Dallas and worked for Continental Trailways Bus Co. for 2 ½ years.  There she met her first husband, Thomas William Creech.  They were married March 27, 1954 and had four children.  Patsy worked at Plastics Manufacturing Co., in Dallas, for 12 years, as a key punch operator, a computer operator, and a programmer before she moved to Waco in 1984.

After Tom’s death, she moved to Waco and returned to her membership to First Baptist Church of Waco, where she met Guy Beatty. They were married June 26, 1986. After Guy retired in 1999, they moved to Lake Limestone, and both became members of Lake Limestone Baptist Church. In 2011, they sold their lake home and returned to Waco.
Both Patsy and Guy were interested in the genealogy of their families and spent several years traveling all over the United States doing research on their family’s tree. They also took lots of pictures of headstone for the Find-A-Grave website.
