Patricia Ann Taylor Palmer passed away peacefully on Thursday September.10, 2026 at the age of 85 years. She was affectionally known to most as Meme, and was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, as well as a loving sister and aunt to many.
Pat’s life will be honored and celebrated on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, beginning with a visitation at 10am, and a service to follow at 11 a.m., to be held at Waco Memorial Funeral Home, located at 6623 Interstate 35 S., Robinson, TX 76706.
Pat was born in Freeport, TX, to O.M. and Clara Fay (Wyndham) Taylor on October 31, 1940.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Earl D. Palmer, after 66 years of marriage, by her Oldest Granddaughter, Stephanie Palmer, and her brother, Ronald M. Taylor.
Pat lived most of her life in the Dallas metroplex area, where she attended South Oak Cliff High School and later earned her GED. She met and married the love of her life, Earl Palmer, on June 6, 1958.
She later went on to create a cherished career in banking that would last until she retired. She thought of each and every one of her bank customers as family and always ensured they were satisfied when they left her window/office. She worked at several banks in the Dallas Metroplex area including Dallas Federal, Wildwood State Bank, Bright Bank, and Brazos Bank in Midlothian, TX and finished her career at The First National Bank of Valley Mills. She was so dedicated and committed to her career that after she was robbed at gun point two different times, she had the tenacity and toughness to return back to help her customers the very next day.
Pat and Earl briefly ventured into their own business after Earl retired from printing. Pat will forever be remembered for her genuine kindness, generosity, and the enormous passion and love she gave to her family, including her extended family and friends.
She was a nurturer at heart and truly loved taking care of everyone around her. Her biggest and main hobby was shopping with and for her family. Every weekend she spent an entire day shopping for clothes, things, and food to make her family happy.
Survivors include her sons, Paul Palmer (Shawn) of Burleson, son Gregory Palmer (Kim) of Arlington, son Darrel Palmer (Christi) of Wheelock, Daughter-in-Law Julie Palmer of South Caroline, Son Michael Palmer (Wendy) of Florida. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren.
Pat’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Crossroads Nursing Home in Hearne, TX, as well as the staff with Vital Caring Hospice Services.
