Ophelia Faye Jimenez

Ophelia “Faye” Garcia Jimenez was born on May 29, 1941, in Otto, Texas, to Elojia Fernandez and Joe M. Garcia.

After meeting and marrying the love of her life, Paul (Pablo) Jimenez, they built a beautiful life together and were blessed with seven children. Faye was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing Bingo, taking drives down 9th Street to admire the houses, and spending time around the round table at home surrounded by her family. Faye was truly the rock of her family—caring, strong, and deeply loving.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Jimenez; her parents; grandsons Joseph Sanchez and Eric Guerrero; and many beloved siblings.

Faye is survived by her sister, Anita Aguilar; her children, Jesse Garcia, Deanna Palacios and husband Lorenzo, Rudy Sandoval, Joe Jimenez and wife Della, Rose Marie Luna and husband Jose, Anna Marie Guerrero and husband Diego, and Christina Jimenez and husband Chris. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her 26 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Faye’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Serving as pallbearers are her loving grandsons.
