Melvin Lohse

January 6, 1921 — November 19, 2017

Melvin Otto Lohse was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 6, 1921 and
went home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2017.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Morris (Joe) and son, Stan Lohse.  He
is also survived by his brother, Stanley Lohse (Vivian) and sister-in-law Alene
Lohse. He has five grandchildren: Stephen Morris (Amber), Jennifer Angell (Kelly),
Kevin Morris (Jennifer), Lea Anne Erwin (Bill) and John Lohse (Jordan).  He is
also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Ren and Charlie Angell, Birdie and
Penny Erwin, Reed, Joshua, Hannah, Wyatt and Caleb Morris.
He was known as a man of great faith, integrity and acts of charity.  He was a
faithful caregiver to his beloved wife, Bessie, for 62 years. He was a team member
of the Southern Baptist Lay Renewal Ministry leading seminars in more than
170 churches throughout the United States, South Africa and Hawaii.  He also
built churches from East Texas to Missouri with the Volunteer Christian Church
Builders.
Funeral services will be held at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel at 6623 S. IH 35,
Waco, Texas  76706 (254-662-3430) at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017.
Interment services will immediately follow at the same location.  In lieu of flowers
contributions can be made to the Salvation Army.
