Matthew Frederick Dollgener Obituary
In Loving Memory
Our beloved Matthew Frederick Dollgener, 68, died peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on April 11, 2026. Matt was known by family and friends for his crazy humor, unwavering love and dedicated spirit.
He was born to Edward and Dorothy (Morton) Dollgener in Dallas, Texas, on July 20, 1957. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Eastfield College as well as the University of Texas at Arlington. On July 23, 1977, Matt married the love of his life, Meg, at Central Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas. Matt loved sailing his Sunfish as well as reading, hiking, all things Three Stooges, and making everyone laugh. He worked for Square D (Schneider Electric) for 40 years as a sales executive. His dedication to his family, friends and faith touched many lives along the way.
Matt is survived by wife Mary (Jakiun) Dollgener (Meg), daughter Amanda Kennon (Cody) and their children Marshall and Ethan, son Jacob Dollgener (Tracie) and their daughter Tommie. He is also survived by his sisters Martha Coursey (Rick), Mary Burge (Craig), Margaret Harris (Phil), and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Michael Dollgener (Carolyn). He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, outgoing personality and his kind heart. His memorial will be held on Thursday, April 23 at Waco Memorial Funeral Home located at 6623 I-35 South, Robinson, TX, with visitation at 12 p.m. and service at 1 p.m. followed by a celebration of life where friends and family are welcome to share memories and celebrate Matt’s outstanding life. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
