Margaret Carney Parnell

Margaret Carney Parnell went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2026.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1pm at Waco Memorial Park. 

Carney was born July 31, 1951 in Waco, Texas to Haralson Langford (Porky) Parnell and Margaret Sue (Stuckey) Parnell. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Lynn and Pat Parnell of Granbury and Billy Jack and Debbie Parnell of Weatherford; five nieces and nephews; eleven great nieces and nephews; nine great great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. 

Carney graduated from Midway High School in 1969 and went on to attend Stephen F. Austin, graduating in 1973. After graduation she moved to Houston where she worked for several oil companies before she settled on Kinder Morgan where she worked for nearly two decades before retiring in 2025.

She loved nature and loved to travel and made trips to countries in Europe, Costa Rica, and other countries with some of her lifelong friends.
