Lisa Marie Montoya, born on July 28, 1988, in Waco,Texas, passed away on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by her immense kindness and unwavering support for others.
Lisa dedicated herself to her career as an Assistant Manager at Circle K, where she took her responsibilities seriously and became a trusted figure in her workplace. Beyond her professional life, Lisa's true passions were found in her love for people and her commitment to the community. She had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Lisa's nurturing spirit was evident in her efforts to reach out to the homeless community, preparing food and serving plates with utensils to those who needed it most. Her caring nature extended beyond acts of charity; she had an incredible ability to make others laugh, even during their toughest times. Her playful silliness and genuine desire to bring happiness to everyone around her made her an amazing and loyal friend.
Lisa cherished her time in Denver, Colorado, and often dreamt of returning to that beautiful place. She shared an unmatchable love for her family, including her mother, Maria Dolores Montoya, her father, Tony Montoya, Jr. and his wife, Norma, and her beloved siblings: Aaron Michael Montoya, Justin Dre Garza, Inez Montoya Torres, Iliana Montoya, and Isaac Montoya. Additionally, Lisa was a devoted mother to her children, Madison Luna, Nathan Montoya, Natalie, Serenity, Nevaeh, and Lucia, and a caring aunt to her niece, Ayanna Renee Montoya, and her nephew, Justino Adan Garza, who survive her.
Lisa is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Watkins, her grandmother, Irene Salazar, and her grandfather, Tony Montoya Sr. As we remember Lisa, we celebrate a life defined by compassion, laughter, and the deep bonds of love she fostered with her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know her and will forever remain in our hearts.
