Linda Aguilar, 68, of Waco, Texas, went to be with our Lord on April 3, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1956, in Rosebud, Texas, to Candelario and Hortencia Aguilar.
Linda graduated from Richfield High School in 1975 and built a life centered around family, faith, and service to others. She had a long and fulfilling career in sales, working for many years at Sears, then at EMSI, and later at Baylor. She truly enjoyed serving people, and anyone who met her knew she loved to talk, and maybe gossip a little too. Her quick wit, wisdom, and warm conversations were a gift to all who knew her.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Every single morning, without fail, she sent out a loving good morning message to her family, reminding each of us that she loved us and to have a good day. She gave us strength, support, and guidance that will be missed beyond words. Though she stood only 4 feet 9 inches tall or 4'11" depending on the shoes, Linda was the bravest woman we knew. She taught us what true strength looks like, and she lived it every day.
Linda is survived by her father, Candelario Aguilar; her brothers Gerald Aguilar and wife Janet, and their daughter Leobarda Aguilar; and Candelario Aguilar Jr. and wife Connie, and his son Nathaniel Aguilar.
She is also survived by her children: Andrew Aguilar and wife Angela Aguilar; Felicia Seniceros and fiancé Josh Kuster; and Laura Silvas and husband Roy Silvas. Linda also lovingly embraced her stepchildren: Cynthia Yzaguirre, Sheila Martinez, and Sotero Seniceros III, along with their families, who brought her great joy and love throughout the years.
She leaves behind a loving legacy through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren are: Joshua and wife Emily Aguilar, Matthew and wife Leslie Aguilar, Leticia Silvas, Tamarah Aguilar, Yvonne and husband Will Audet, Tierrah Aguilar and husband Nate, Brandon Cardenas, Selena Cardenas and fiancé Jeremiah Rodgers, Tajma Aguilar, Isaiah Silvas, Gracie Silvas, Jasmine Silvas, and Drea Aviles.
Her great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy, are: Xavier Aguilar, Myala Aguilar, Blake Aguilar, David Audet, Sebastian Silvas, Lierrah Aguilar, Aaliyah Rodgers, Kalilah Aguilar, and soon-to-be-born Anissa Aguilar.
She is also survived by her nieces, Cynthia Scott, Rebecca Ledesma and husband, Jose and family, Selena Resendiz and husband, Alex and family, and nephew Nathaniel Aguilar.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sotero Seniceros; her mother, Hortencia Aguilar; and her grandson, Angel.
She is also lovingly remembered by her faithful companion of over 10 years, her cat, Patches, who was by her side day and night. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and Patches continues to be a sweet reminder of the love Linda gave so freely.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Linda's love, strength, and words will remain with us always. We will carry her in our hearts forever.
