Lesa Duke

Lesa Ann Duke. 67 went to the Lord on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loved ones by her side in Woodway, TX. Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Monday, September 29, 2025 at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be 1:00 PM, Monday, September 29, 2025, at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Earl Cumbie officiating.

She was born to Mary Alice Quinn and Jefferson Harrison Duke on April 18, 1958, in Waco, TX. Lesa was one of nine kids, she had six brothers, Donald, Billy, Larry, Claude, Wayne and Bobby. Two sisters, Janette, and Linda; Lesa also loved watching old westerns especially those that had Audie Murphy and John Wayne. Lesa loved reading all types of books since she was a teenager. She loved her family and friends. She loved to travel, amusement parks and going to Las Vegas where her sister Janette family was stationed. Lesa will truly be missed. On September 20, 2025, we lost a loving sister and aunt and a friend, but Heaven gained a precious soul. 

Lesa was preceded in death by her parents Mary Alice Quinn and Jefferson Harrison Duke, six brothers Donald, Larry, Wayne, Bobby, Claude, Billy and her sister Linda Howard and sister-in-law Darlene Duke, Clemi Duke and brother-in-law David D. Mears Sr.

She is survived by sister Janette Mears, sister-in-law Pat Duke and brother-in-law Ben Howard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many more great nieces and nephews.

Casketbearers will be Joey Mears, Leslie Murillo, Timothy Mixson and Jackie Mixson.
