Karen Anita Davies of Hewitt passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the age of 67.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Waco Memorial Park with Bro. Roy Marshall officiating.
Karen was born October 28, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended the University of Houston and University of Texas.
Karen married Richard Dale Davies on July 30, 1994, in Las Vegas. The couple moved to Hewitt, Texas in March of 1998.
Karen worked for Members Choice Federal Credit Union in Waco for over 3 years. She followed Cowboy Fellowship in Jourdanton, Texas where her daughter Lacey serves as the children’s minister. Karen previously was a member of First Baptist Church – Hewitt.
Karen enjoyed traveling, having taken vacations trips to Israel, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, The Bahamas, Canada, and Honduras. She was a mega fan of the WNBA Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark. Karen was a studier of the Bible with a concentration of Judaism. She dearly loved and was loved by her two cats, Roni “Tiger” and Meekay “Ferocious”.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Ella Rose Koonce.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Davies; daughters, Marisa Nicole Davies and Lacey Dale Crenshaw; grandson, Korben Crenshaw; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Paul Etchison; nieces, Ashley Etchison and Christian Crawford; nephews, William Etchison and Justin Crawford.
