Joyce Kay (Lindsey) Hankins

Joyce Kay Hankins, 85, of Waco, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026.

A celebration of Kay’s life will be held at Waco Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 11:30 AM, with Dr. Cary Killough officiating.

Joyce Kay was born on March 23, 1940 IN Waco, Texas to parents Luther and Mildred Lindsey. She graduated from Connally High School in Waco and later took some college classes at Durham Business College in Waco. She worked at Safeway for 18 years while raising her family.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Tina Farrar of Ft. Worth, Dana & Husband David Scott Cloud of Mansfield, and Kristi Farrar of Ft. Worth; brother, Jim Lindsey and wife, Jeanne of Austin; nieces, Stephanie Lindsey and Jennifer Wegmiller and husband, Dan; 4 grandchildren, Lindsey Chapa and husband, Heath, Whitney Kennedy and husband, Mason, Dr. Jared Cloud and wife, Niky, and Sydney Simatovich and husband, Kyle; and 11 great- grandchildren, Payton, Paisley, Ryder, Presley, Harlee, Liam, Connor, Liana, Daniela, Jane and Luka.

Joyce Kay was preceded in death by Luther and Mildred Lindsey and Evelyn Goodall.
