Jacquelyn Johnson

February 2, 1938 — July 18, 2025

Fort Smith, Arkansas

Jacquelyn W. Johnson was born Feb. 2, 1938 in Tehuacana, Texas to Jack Ingram and Theresa Dale (Moody) White. She passed away in Fort Smith, AR on July 18, 2025. She was 87 years young.

Jacquelyn was the Proud mother of 4 beautiful children (her words exactly) of which SHE raised in Waco, Texas. She was tough but she was the Best Mother!! She wanted to help everyone. She loved all her dogs and then some, loved to travel, go out to dinner, even though she was the best cook in town. She loved to just ride around looking at houses, eating ice cream. She loved decorating or making anything pretty. She was good at sharing life advice. She traveled to Hong Kong, cruised to Nova Scotia and walked until her feet hurt in New York City.

During her long career she worked for SMI in Waco, HOTCOG (which is where she met the love of her life), A C Johnson. They were married for 25 wonderful years! She loved every minute with AC. They became members of the Shriners in Waco and made many wonderful friends. While they were newlyweds, they moved to Marlin, Texas where AC became the City Manager and she became the Chamber of Commerce Manager. People joked that they ran the town because of their career positions. She completed her career at Brazos River Authority in Waco, Texas.

Through her career, she made many forever friends. She loved all her friends. I want to mention a few Special friends by name: Vera (Pinky) Burt deceased (Pinky and Don helped raise 4 kids with mom), Kim Goolsby (Co-worker one of many friends she considered her daughter too), Betty Kuykendahl (She is the miracle worker for Mom and the family's hair), Mary (Made all our fingers and toes look awesome for years), Darlene Horn (She and Mom tried to keep us all inline),. She will be met in Heaven with open arms by our Lord, Jesus Christ and her one true love- AC, her Mom and Dad, two sons, Jack (Dusty) Moody Jones, Robert Hollis Jones and Pinky.

She leaves behind one son to cherish her memory, Russell Creech Jones of Mexia, Texas and only daughter/Best Friend and awesome Son-n-Law, Kimberly Sue (Russell) Horn of Fort Smith, AR, and daughter-n-law, Dianne Jones of Noble, Louisiana; ten grandchildren: Jacquelyn (Hayley) Smith, Kathryn (Colby) Whitfield, Tori (Brian) LaFleur, Dusty (James) Moore, Lacy Springer, Jessica (Frank) May, Misty Bynog, Robert M (Jennifer) Jones, Chad (Jamie) Santos & Regina (Justin) Fowler; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Priscilla Rasbeary; nephew, Bryant (Jewel) Rasbeary; many cousins and one gorgeous aunt, Marilyn Karn.

Pallbearers are Russell Jones, Chad Santos, Justin Fowler, Jacquelyn Horn Smith & Kathryn Horn Whitfield.

SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER, EVERYDAY, ALL DAY LONG!!

Every trip we take, every meal we eat, You’ll be with us, forever and ever Amen!!
