Henry Dwaine Horne

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Henry Dwaine Horne, 71, of Waco, TX, who departed this life triumphantly surrounded by his loving family on December 3, 2025. Henry’s life was a shining beacon of hope illuminating the transformative power of love, family, and football (Dallas Cowboys).

Henry was born July 29, 1954 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He enlisted in the US Army in 1973, serving nearly 2 years.

Henry was a devoted husband of 49 years to Julieann Horne and is now reunited with his daughter, Veronica Denise Horne and other family members in eternal peace. He was a loving father to Denise Rodriguez (Roman), Benjamin Horne (Maria), Cashanna Horne (Scott), Tirzah Moore (Kevin), and Veronica Rivera (Peter). He was a brother to Issac Gilton, Raymond Lee Williams (Pam), and Arnetta Williams. He was a grandfather to 23 grandchildren and a great grandfather to 20 great grandchildren. 

Henry dedicated his life to empowering his entire family and his laughter, wisdom and love will be remembered and cherished by all. 

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Baylor Scott & White of MICU and The Nurses for their exceptional compassion and care. His legacy will live on.

Visitation for Henry will be Friday, December 12, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. His life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Immediately after the burial we will join together to rejoice the life of our father with refreshments at 1721 S. 29th Street, Waco, TX 76711.
