Henrietta Helen Irene (Krueger) Mormino joyfully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on her birthday, Wednesday, December 3, 2025. Born with a radiant spirit, Henrietta touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith. Though she passed on the day she was born, her memory and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead, with Rev. Dr. Brian Hesse officiating and assisted by Joel Boesche at the graveside service at Waco Memorial Park.
From the moment she received her terminal diagnosis in early June, Henrietta’s steadfast Christian faith guided her thoughts, her actions, and the grace with which she faced each day. She often said she “knew where she was going” as she prepared for her eternal home with Jesus. Without fear, she embraced the promise of Psalm 23:6, trusting that the Lord’s “goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home.”
Henrietta was born on December 3, 1942, in Riesel, Texas, to Archie and Irene (Dieterich) Krueger. On August 18, 1960, she married the love of her life, August Mormino Jr. of Waco, Texas.
Henrietta dedicated more than a decade of service to Connally ISD and was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead for over 50 years. She will be remembered for her unwavering generosity, compassion, and selflessness—qualities that defined her life and her care for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, August Mormino Jr., who passed away in October 2003.
Henrietta is survived by her daughters, Kathy Leggio; Kristy Lamar, and husband, Jon Lamar; her granddaughters, Corrie Long and Tara Lamar, all of Waco, Texas; her grandson, Jeremy Holland, and wife, Shannon Ames, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her great-grandsons, Cannon Long and Ryker Long of Waco, Texas; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are Randal Bolen, Tomas Cardoza, Brian Gilchrest, Tim Herrington, and Donnie Savage. Honorary Pallbearers are Cannon Long, Charlie Morgan, and Lance Payne.
The family extends its heartfelt appreciation to the physicians and staff of St. Catherine's Skilled Nursing Center and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–Hillcrest for their exceptional care, compassion, and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1301 Hogan Ln., Waco, Texas 76705.
