Guy Aubrey Eldridge, passed away on June 8, 2025, in Waco, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. A life devoted to love and generosity, he was well-known for his charitable nature and deep affection for his grandchildren.

Guy was born November 26, 1947 in Hondo, Texas. He moved to Waco at the age of 16, where his journey through life truly began.

At the age of 18, he enlisted in the US Army, bravely serving two tours in Vietnam. His commitment to service reflected his character, marked by a sense of duty and charity toward others. Following his military service, Guy returned to civilian life and cultivated a passion for restoring classic cars and often attended classic car shows sharing his love for vintage automobiles with others. His love for these timeless vehicles symbolized his appreciation for the beauty of craftsmanship and nostalgia. Guy also appreciated the simple things in life like sitting in a boat waiting for the fish to bite or watching the birds at their feeders in his yard. He found great joy in helping his son deliver refurbished bikes to children, each one a gift of adventure.

It was at a coffee shop where Guy met the love of his life, Elizabeth Kay Garrett, who was his waitress and their beautiful love story began. It took some time, but they were eventually married on February 12, 1978. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter until her passing, leaving a profound imprint upon his heart.

Guy is survived by his children, Justin Eldridge and Lindsey Bederka and husband, Michael. He found immense joy in his role as grandfather to Zoie (Zo Bug) Bederka and Rhyder (Mason Jar) Bederka. His sisters, Regina Schan Kirchner, Alice Schan Daberko, and Linda Schan Krupa, and his brother, Ralph Eldridge will miss him and remember him fondly. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Peggy Butler, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Elizabeth Kay Eldridge; his mother, Ina Mae Eldridge; sisters, Barbara Keller and Brenda Robb; brothers, Carey Wayne Eldridge, Sr. and Kent Ray "Kenny" Eldridge; and his aunt and uncle, Bea and Rusty Wernette and uncle Meats and aunt Marian.
