Elizabeth Arlette Wallace

Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Arlette Wallace, 73, of Waco, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, surrounded by family. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Waco Memorial Park in Robinson. All who knew Liz are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

Born on February 17, 1952, in Arkansas City, Kansas, Liz was the daughter of Wayne and Hazel Zimmerman. She graduated high school in 1970 and spent her life taking care of others as a mother and healthcare provider. In 1989, she pursued a career at Scott and White as a phlebotomist where she remained until she retired at the age of 70 in 2022.

Liz married Robert ‘Bob’ Lee Wallace after high school in 1971. Together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. During those years, they welcomed three daughters, Trudi, Lisa, and Amy. She was also a devoted grandmother to Monica, Matthew, Madison, Nathan, and Jimmy, and a loving great grandmother to Darren, Travon, and Bryson.

Liz’s life was a testament for strength, resilience, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Wayne and Hazel, in-laws: Ken and Doris, and her brother: Wayne J.

Liz is survived by her loving husband Bob and their three daughters: Trudi (Carl), Lisa, and Amy; five grandchildren: Monica (Darren), Matthew, Madison (Dalton), Nathan, and Jimmy (Nya); three great grandchildren: Darren, Travon, and Bryson; three sisters: Dorothea, Robin, and Neva, and sister-in-law Linda (Bill); three nephews: Shannon, Rush (Maria) and Justin; four nieces: Brandi, Jamie (David), Renea (Colt), and Nicole. As well as her loving dog, Missy Pooh.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Liz’s memory to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Organization (ASPCA).
