Elizabeth Roberts Palser

July 27, 1930 — February 9, 2018

Elizabeth Lane Roberts Palser went to her heavenly home on February 9, 2018, at the age of 87. She was born in Crossett, Arkansas to Claude and Addie Elizabeth Roberts, pioneer pastors. Lane attended Southwestern Bible Institute, where she met Paul Palser. He played in a trumpet trio, she sang in a women’s trio; each of them in music ministry. After their wedding on graduation night, they immediately went into full-time ministry. They worked as a team for 57 years as pastors, evangelists and missionaries, serving in British Guiana (Guyana), Costa Rica and Panama. They founded Victorious Life Fellowship in Waco, Texas, and 5 Bible Schools here and abroad, with Lane writing much of the curriculum. She considered it her calling in life to be a helpmeet to her husband.

Teaching was her joy whether in Bible Schools, Sunday School or with her children and grandchildren. She also ministered in music, playing the piano, organ and accordion (which proved vital in evangelistic crusades in foreign countries). Lane was an avid reader, proofreader, accomplished interior decorator, seamstress, cook (her pound cake was legendary), crocheter of beautiful afghans. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman, and her children and grandchildren do rise up and call her blessed, and have continued her legacy of serving God through ministry.

Lane was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters: Lavenial (Joe) Adams and Joyce (Dibrell) Helton, her husband Paul and grandson Christopher Rogers. She is survived by her children: Becky (Bob) Rogers, Ron Palser, Libby (Jerry) Nance and Michelle (Tom) Miller; grandchildren: Angie Rogers Fleming, Denee Nance Biggers, Kristi Nance Steffens, Dustin Nance, Zachary and Mallory Miller; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
