Woodway, Texas

Elizabeth Anne Claggett, 81, of Woodway, Texas, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Providence Village Park, from her battle with Cancer.  Elizabeth was born November 9, 1939, in Norwalk, Connecticut to Joseph and Blanche Reardon.

Elizabeth was a High School Graduate of Hudson Falls, New York and attended Kent State University for Real Estate Finance/Law.  She worked many years within the financial district for Sunbelt Savings in Dallas and also as a Realtor in Ohio and Texas.  Elizabeth was a member of St Alban’s Episcopal Church and active volunteer with Caritas.  She devoted much of her time to her family, traveling, and beloved pets Suzie, Candy, Skyler, and Sammy.

Elizabeth could accomplish anything she set her mind to; she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.  Her interests included family, traveling, community service, and her love of animals.  She enjoyed watching football, playing chicken foot every holiday gathering, going on cruises, playing 42, going to the horse races, and attending all the casino attractions.

Mrs. Claggett is survived by husband: Steve Claggett; Son: William Tucker, Daughters: Mary Quaas & Debra Metheny;  7 grandchildren: Charlotte, Charles, Joe, Mitchell, Kayla, Katelynn, and Wade; 4 nieces: Anne, Debbie, Jane and Susan.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Tucker, and her sister, Margaret and brother, James.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Cancer Society and/or St Alban’s Episcopal Church, Waco, Texas.

The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel.   Interment will be in the Central Texas State Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
