DEAN DAVIS NAYLOR, age 83, of Waco, Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of January 9, 2026. He was born March 26, 1942.
Dean proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after a decorated, distinguished career that spanned over 20 years, earning a Meritorious Service Medal, AF Good Conduct Medal and Commendation Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, AF Longevity Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross. His service was a source of great pride and shaped much of the man he was, disciplined and determined. He was proudly telling stories of his service to those surrounding him in his final weeks.
Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Naylor, his parents Talmadge and Marie Naylor, brother Ray Naylor and sister, Virginia Moore and nephew, Michael Naylor.
Dean is survived by his daughter, Michelle Snyder; grandchildren, Storme Moore, Dakota Snyder and Trace Snyder; and great grandchildren, Kaislee Moore and Hudson Moore. He is also survived by daughter, Tracy Porter; grandson, Jeremy Mullins; granddaughters, Cheyenne Bettinger and Samantha Mullins; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jaxson, Brantley and Gunner Mullins, Jeremy (JR) Mullins, Isabella Nevarez, Kamarri Jones and Gracie Harrison; as well as brothers, Lynn Naylor and Lonnie Naylor.
