Consuelo Alarcon, 52, passed away June 2, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest. Services will be at 10:00 am on June 11, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Deacon Tony Arocha officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be June 10, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Waco Memorial Funeral Home.
Consuelo was born and raised in Waco, Texas where she attended grade school, Jr. High, ultimately receiving her GED in 2000 with honors. She married the love of her life, Vicente Alarcon on January 10, 1987, spending 37 years together. In her earlier years, Consuelo worked as a DJ for a local radio station, spent a few years working in the home health care field, worked retail at Montgomery Ward, and was a manager at a local convenience store. For five years she worked as an underwriter for National Lloyds.
Her hobbies and interests included reading romance novels, playing pool, crocheting, working cross word puzzles, camping, and fishing. What she loved the most was cooking and making homemade tortillas. She enjoyed making memories on family vacations. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served as a Guadalupana.
Consuelo was preceded in death by her father, Roberto R. Aguilar, Sr. and her mother, Simona Gonzalez.
She is survived by her husband, Vicente R. Alarcon; son, Davis N. Alarcon and wife, Josefina of Waco; daughter, Simona Barocio and husband, Margarito of Waco; grandchildren, Vicente (Tito), Victoria (Nana), Sofia (Jawea), Elena (Elenita), Isabella (Isa), and Davis, Jr. (Nicco); sister, Molly Cosby and husband, Melvin Cosby of Waco; brothers, Santos Aguilar and wife, Diane Aguilar of Waco, Robert Aguilar, Jr. of Waco; Ernest Aguilar and wife, Miguelina of Waco; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and close friends.
Pallbearers will be Davis N. Alarcon, Eric Renobato, Margarito Barocio, Vicente Barocio, Victoria Barocio, Angel Ramirez Alarcon, Nathan Sanchez, and David Banda, Jr.
