Antonia B. Yanez, cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Waco, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 14, 1942, in Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato, Mexico, Antonia dedicated her life to nurturing those around her, instilling strength, love, and a deep appreciation for family values.

Educated in her native land, she nurtured her intellect by obtaining degrees in nursing and teaching. Antonia’s warm personality was characterized by her happy and bubbly demeanor. She adorned herself with blingy clothing and vibrant jewelry, reflecting her lively spirit. As a pillar of strength, she ensured that the needs of her family were always met, balancing work and motherhood with grace and dedication. Her life was one of sacrifice and resilience. Antonia's boundless creativity enabled her to juggle her work while ensuring that the needs of her family were always met. A testament to her nurturing heart, she loved making food, especially tamales and sopas, which became beloved staples during her grandchildren's visits.

Throughout her life, Antonia took immense pride in her heritage and made it a point to visit Mexico whenever possible, embracing her roots. A devoted wife, she shared 68 years of marriage with her loving husband, Juan A. Yanez—an enduring partnership that was a beacon of love and support.

Antonia is now reunited with her parents, Ramon and Refugio Campos; her sister Esther; her granddaughter, Sandy Scott; and her cherished son-in-law, Daniel Tagle, Sr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Juan A. Yanez; her three sons, Jorge Yanez and wife Huda, Jaime Yanez and wife Dolores, Alvaro Yanez and wife Linda; her daughters, Blanca Castilleja and husband Ed, and Aida Scott and husband Michael. Antonia was blessed with a multitude of grandchildren, including Mandi, Brandy, Rosa, Diana, Thomas, Alexandria, Kandy, Charity, Daniel, Jr., Deanna, Morgan, Diane, Patricia, and Priscilla, Bradley and Sally, alongside numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her adopted daughter, Cenovia Salazar and her children, Iris, Ruben, Sr. and Eric. 

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her remarkable life during the visitation on June 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Waco Memorial Funeral Home located at 6623 Interstate 35 S, Robinson, Texas. A funeral service to honor Antonia will follow on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM, concluding at 2:00 PM at the same location.
