Alvin Carl Stevens, 80, of Robinson passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at his residence. Carl was born in Kerrville, Texas to William Douglas and Thelma Jean (Hough) Stevens on October 7, 1944. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1962 – 1966 aboard the USS Ranger.
Carl worked many years as a Master Plumber/Pipefitter and enjoyed the challenges. He loved hunting and fishing and took pleasure in those activities most of his life. Carl’s biggest love though was his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved brother, Earl; sister, Donna; step grandson, Colton; and niece, Leah.
Carl is survived by his wife of 56 years, Valerie; two daughters, Tara Jean Wilson and spouse, Tracy and Carla Ann McDonald and spouse, Bill; and son, James Earl Stevens and spouse, Tracye.
His life was full, and he took great joy in his granddaughters, Holly, Audry, Cheyenne, Olivia, and Carsyn; and grandson, Austin. He was blessed to the brim with six little beautiful great grandkids, Gweneth, Jupiter, Augustine, Joey,
Oona Elm, and Wrenley. Carl also leaves behind his nephews, Brian Stevens and family and Brandon Evans and family; niece, Tamara Evans; and numerous Hough family relatives who will forever cherish his memory.
He was adored by all, joked a lot, and enjoyed all their visits. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Carl.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 from 10am to 11am at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service with US Navy honors will follow at 11am in the Veteran’s Field of Honor at Waco Memorial Park.
