Woodrow Wilson Morrow, 93, of Crawford, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park with Masonic Graveside Rites.Mr. Morrow was born on May 15, 1919 in Giddings, Texas to William and Louise Carey Morrow. He served his country in the United States Navy during WW II. Mr. Morrow married Melva Mize on July 28, 1939 in McGregor and they celebrated over 73 wonderful years together. He was a member of Crawford Masonic Lodge #585, a Shriner and the Knights Templar #10. He loved watching all kinds of sports; but his true love was watching his grandkids play. Mr. Morrow was in the road construction business. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Larry Morrow and a grandson, Steven Hadley.Survivors include his wife, Melva Morrow of the home, daughter, Linda Hadley and her husband, John of Waco, granddaughter, Lisa Nixon and her husband, Shawn of Crawford, grandson, Chris Hadley of Crawford and great grandchildren, C.J., Colton, Lauryn, Paige and Ethan.
