Obituary

Weldon W. "Doc" FrostMarch 5, 1925 – September 21, 2007 Weldon Womack "Doc" Frost, a lifetime resident of Waco, passed from this earthly life on Sept. 21, 2007. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Connaly/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Ernie Christie officiating and Garland DeLamar reciting the Eulogy. Visitation with family members will be immediately following the service. Doc was born March 5, 1925 in Waco to O. L. and Betty Frost. He attended Provident Heights, North Jr. High and Waco High. He was an avid sports fan and good athlete at North Jr. High and on the Kittens at Waco High. Doc joined the Army in June, 1943 serving in Central Europe. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and participated in other dangerous missions. He was Honorably Discharged in March, 1946 with several commendations for his faithful service. Upon returning home, he completed high school and attended Baylor University. He owned and operated a very successful cleaning business that lasted many years. After selling the cleaning business, he was a successful home builder for several years. Doc and Rose were married in August of 1974, having a wonderful 33 year marriage. Doc grew up in the Church of Christ, where his parents were active members. Survivors include his wife, Rose Frost; son, Robert C. Frost; daughter, Denice Vrba and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Monica, Jamie and Adam; great grandchildren, Judd, Kennady and Gracie. Doc, a true Christian, will be remembered for his humor, ability to make new friends and his willingness to help the less fortunate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Shore Church of Christ, 2800 Lake Shore Dr., Waco, TX 76708 or to your favorite charity.
