Virginia Carol Marr, 78, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Royal Manor Health Center.
Virginia was born September 26, 1931 in Buffalo, Texas to Tom and Virginia Gammon Hayden. She graduated from Corsicana High School. She worked for Connally Funeral Home for 15 years and then worked in sales management until she retired.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Henry Marr; 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
Those left behind to cherish Virginia's memory are her children, Carol Marr of Waco, Texas, Linda McGuire and husband, Sam, of Prairieville, Louisiana, and Steve Marr and wife, Leslie, of Humble, Texas; grandchildren, Suzy Karash and husband, Elliot, of Kingwood, Texas, and Sean Wellensiek of Waco, Texas; great grandchildren, Jamison, Ian, Noah and Solomon Karash, all of Kingwood, Texas; niece, Minnie Faye "Tiny" Rubel and husband, Leo, of Waco, Texas; sister-in-law, Louise Ford and husband, Bill, of Silver City, Texas; son at heart, Pete Wellensiek of Waco, Texas; and many cherished friends from all walks of life.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Royal Manor Health Center for their love and care given to Virginia.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Viewing will be 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Virginia was born September 26, 1931 in Buffalo, Texas to Tom and Virginia Gammon Hayden.
