Mrs. Trinidad Cardona, 82, passed away on June 10, 2018 in the midst of her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Saint Francis Catholic Church with Father Eduardo Jazo as celebrant. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 12th at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM.

Mrs. Cardona was born on June 16, 1935 in Waco, Texas to Inocencio and Rosa (Almanza) De Leon. She lived in Waco all of her life and graduated from Waco High School in 1954. Mrs. Cardona taught school at Saint Francis and retired as the manager of Goodwill after 36 years of service. She loved going to the ranch and watching soap operas but her true love was her family; especially her granddaughters. Mrs. Cardona was an active member of Saint Francis Catholic Church and a member of the Las Guadalupanas. Mrs. Cardona was married to Raymundo Cardona for over 45 wonderful years. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Frank Lopez in 1960; son, Lionel Lopez; brothers, Benito De Leon and his wife, Carmen and Ramon De Leon and sister, Ramona De Leon.

Survivors include her husband, Raymundo Cardona of Waco; son, Mark Anthony Cardona and his wife, Cara of Elm Mott; granddaughters, Kelsi, Kailey and Kacee; niece, Dianna; nephews, Benito Jr. and Jimmy and numerous cousins and dear friends.
