Toribio "Toby" Ledesma, Jr. November 13, 1937 ~ October 8, 2007 Toribio "Toby" Ledesma, Jr. passed away at his home early Monday morning. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday, Oct.11 at Connally/Compton Chapel with Rosary recited at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Lawrence Solar as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Toby was born in Waco, TX on November 13, 1937 to Toribio and Petra Ledesma. On January 30, 1965 he married Nasaria "Mary" Ramos and they had three children. He had been a member of the National Guard, worked for Wal-Mart for 18 years before he became ill. He always had a smile on his face and was ready and willing to be helpful to everyone. Toby enjoyed all sports and was a faithful fan of the Cowboys. He also liked to work in his yard and always attended the yearly Tejano Music Awards in San Antonio and then would spend time at the River Walk. Most of all, Toby was a great husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bernandina Ledesma and grandson, Adrian Ledesma. Survivors include his loving wife, Nasaria (Mary) of 42 years; son, Toby Ledesma; daughters, Stephanie Taylor; Erica Mejia and husband, Ricardo all from Waco; sister, Juana Camarina Dickey of Aldine, TX; brother, Alexander Ledesma and wife, Lydia of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Antoinette Romo and husband, Johnny of Waco; Layla Mejia of Waco; and one great grandson, Nicholas Romo. Pallbearers will be Robert Gonzales, Louis Martinez, Gilbert Ramos, Manuel Sustaita, Joe Martinez and Raymond Maciel.
