Stella M. SkainsMarch 2, 1915 – November 25, 2010 Stella M. Skains, 95, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to service. Stella was born March 2, 1915 in Mart, Texas to Arnold and Freda (Radle) Schreiber. She married Walter L. Skains on December 6, 1952. She was a member of the American Legion #121 for over 27 years and of the VFW Ladies Auxillary #2148 for over 28 years. Stella was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Walter L. Skains; sister, Laura Neumann; brother, Clarence Schreiber; and nephew, Stanley K. Schreiber. Those left behind to cherish Stella's memory are her nephew, Don Neumann; nieces, Karen, Kendra and Paige; and other relatives.Arrangements under the direction of Connally-Compton Funeral Directors, Waco, TX.
