Obituary

Scott Travis Massingill of Robinson went to be with his Lord on January 21st, 2018. He was born September 4, 1986 to Charlie and Sharon (Stookey) Massingill. He attended Robinson schools and graduated from Robinson High School in 2005
On November 20th, 2010 he married the love of his life, Jamie Stanley Butler & together they have one child, Kaidence LeeAnn Massingill. On April 23rd 2010, Kaidence entered this world as the light of Scott's life. Scott adored his daughter and loved her dearly. Nothing made him happier or more proud.
Scott was also passionate about baseball. He played for most of his childhood and all the way up through his freshman year at Robinson High school. He played just about every position, but enjoyed his time on the pitcher's mound the most. He loved his Texas Rangers and catcher Pudge Rodriguez the most.
Scott's closest friend and brother was Dustin Storer. They spent most of their lives linked to one another in friendship and brotherhood. Scott loved hanging out with Dustin whether it was just a conversation at the house, a day at the lake, or a night out on the town. Dustin was Scott's favorite person and they were there for one another always.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Buck & Pat Stookey; paternal grandparents Douglas & Ann Massingill; uncles Olan Massingill, Jeff Pearcy, and Gary Harper; aunt Karon Harper; cousins Melissa & Mason Gardner, and Dickie Don Massingill.
Survivors include wife of 7 years Jamie Massingill; daughter Kaidence Massingill; step-daughters Kimberly & Allison Butler; parents Charlie & Sharon Massingill; brothers Dustin Storer, Charlie Jr., and Kevin Massingill; aunts Zena Pearcy and Barbara Coats; uncle Don Coats.
Pallbearers will be special friends Tim Lankford, Brady McWhorter, Chris Elfrez, David Robinson, Paul Weyant, and Bryce Brown.
Honorary Pallbearers include Steven Chudej, Derek Kramolis, and Ed Boyd.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Connally Compton Funeral Home in Waco. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00p.m. Friday, January 26th. A Celebration of his life will be 12:00p.m. Saturday, January 27th at Connally Compton with Brother Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Downsville Baptist Church at 9371 S University Parks Dr., Robinson, TX 76706.
