Ruby Joyce Buro Sutkowski, 97 of Purmela, Texas received her heavenly wings and passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 22. 2023. Funeral service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church officiating by Pastor Garrett Smith at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors in Waco, Texas.

Miss Ruby was born in rural McLennan County to Henry Fred & Emma Conrad Buro on October 3, 1925. She married Lynn Erlanson on July 27, 1946 in Waco, Texas. Together they had 3 children, Linda Richard, Joyce McAdams Riddle and husband, Larry, and Roy Erlanson. After becoming a widow at an early age, she married Steve Sutkowski on June 1, 1974 and spent 42 years together until his death.

She is survived by her 3 children; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Ludwig and husband, Kenneth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mabel Weaver, Esther Ivy, Virgie Ludwig and brother, Buddy Buro.
