Reverend Ruby E. Santibanez, age 86, of Woodway, Texas and took her place with God on Monday, September 16, 2024, she was born in Limache, Valparaíso, Chile on August 1, 1938.

Reverend Ruby received her divinity degree and became one of the first ordained women ministers by the United Methodist Church in the country She left her beloved country to escape the Communism of Allende and emigrated to the USA where she began her studies again and received a degree of Divinity from Baylor University and a second degree from Perkins school of Theology.

She was a pastor to churches in Waco, Georgetown, Moody, San Antonio, Del Rio, Carrizo Springs and Chrystal City. She retired in 2009 and returned to Waco to be closer to her children.

She is survived by her children, Ruby C., Lola, Ronald and Steven, grandchildren, Amber, Lizette, Christopher and Nicholas and great-grandchildren, Abel, Ava, Oliver and Marley. She was a beloved mother who will be missed
