Roy W. FrankMarch 31, 1929 ~ March 7, 2009 Roy W. Frank, 79, of Waco, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009 with his family by his side. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at St. Jerome Catholic Church with the Rev. Rakshaganathan Selvarai as celebrant and burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited by Deacon Gregory George at 6 p.m., Monday, March 9, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel and visitation with family and friends to follow after. Roy Walter Frank was born on March 31, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Florence Rose Lubes and Walter Rudolph Frank. He married the love of his life, Joan Marilyn Piper on May 15, 1954. Roy served in the Korean War via the United States Army. He was a customer service rep for Huck Manufacturing for 34 years, which is now known as Alcoa. After his retirement he volunteered at Providence Hospital and worked part-time at Central National Bank. Roy was a sports enthusiast and could even have been considered an avid golfer and bowler. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and also The New Horizons, there as well. Left behind to cherish Roy's memory are his wife of 54 years, Joan Frank of Waco; son, Dennis Frank of Waco; daughters, Pam and husband Jack Brown of Waco, Carrie and husband, Kelly Jones and Cheryl and husband, Mike Hanson, all of Dallas; grandchildren, Michael Pack and fiancé, Kari Hartung of Corpus Christi, Christopher and Kacie Jones, and Cody and Kara Hanson, all of Dallas. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the 3rd floor staff at St. Catherine Center for their tender care.
