Mr. Ronald Gene Simmons, age 60, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 in Waco, Texas.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2019 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Interment will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at the funeral home.

Ronald was born on September 26, 1959 to Arthur Dorvan and Joyce Marie Tobias-Ferguson Simmons in Georgetown, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Waco. He served in the United States Army from 1977-1980. Ronald enjoyed reading, writing (stories and poetry), hiking, collecting classic movies, watching Texas Longhorn Football, and listening to all kinds of music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, they are very special to him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Simmons.

Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Jean Simmons; son, Jeremy L. Simmons and wife, Claire of Ennis; brother, William Arthur Simmons of Liberty Hill; sisters Theresa Lynn Tuel of Elgin, Ruby Barnes and husband, Richard of Rockdale.
