Raymond R. Martinez, Jr., age 63, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011 in Waco. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 10 AM at Saint Francis Catholic Church with Father Roman Burgos and Deacon Jessie C. Garza officiating and burial to follow in Waco Memorial Park. Raymond was born on September 17, 1948 to Ramon and Sara Ramirez Martinez in Robstown, Texas. He married Gloria Ordones on January 18, 1966 in Waco. Raymond was a resident of China Spring and a member of Saint Philip Catholic Church and Saint Francis Catholic Church. He was in the Knights of Columbus 10391 and Santo Nombre Society. Raymond retired after 31 years from Mid-Way Transportation. Raymond leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Gloria Ordones Martinez of China Spring; son, Raymond Martinez, III and wife, Leticia of Elm Mott; Daughters, Anntoinette M. Griffin and husband, Kris of Hewitt and Amanda Martinez of China Spring; brothers, Ruben Martinez and wife, Linda of Waco and Robert Martinez and wife, Gloria of Waco; sister, Rita Regalado and husband, Richard of Waco; brothers, Richard Salinas and wife, Linda of McAllen and Adolph Munoz and wife, Karen of Taylor; sisters,Susie Martinez and husband, Anthony of Waco, MaryLou Banda and husband, Juan of Waco, Lupe Williams of Arlington, and Gloria Munoz of Marble Falls; grandchildren: Raymond A. Martinez, Phillip A. Martinez, Nicholas A. Martinez, Yuridia Balderas, Connor A. Griffin and Carson A. Griffin and numerous nieces and nephews; Pallbearers: Raymond A. Martinez, Phillip A.
