Paul Reyes, 52, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2006 at a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2006 at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. Sergio Lopez as celebrant. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Thurs., May 18, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Paul was born the son of Benito Reyes, Sr. and Presi Felan Reyes on June 18, 1953 in Meridian, Texas. Paul was "The Best Floor Covering Technician" in Waco, who found it hard to ever be off the job. He was currently employed by Discount Floors Superstore and was in the industry a total of 38 years. An avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, Paul cried tears of joy as they became Super Bowl XL champs. Golf wasn't golf without his three amigos, but after his kids were grown and gone, his grandkids became his pride and joy. Paul was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Preceding Paul in death was his son, Antonio Paul Rivera. Surviving Paul are the love of his wife, Mary Reyes of Waco; daughters, Priscilla Reyes, Jessica Reyes and Frances Gonzales, all of Waco; sons, Christopher Sandoval of Waco and Julian Sandoval & wife, Aimee of Ft. Hood; parents, Benito Reyes, Sr. and Presi Reyes of Waco; brothers, Benito Reyes, Jr. and Steve Reyes, both of Waco; sisters, Julie Butt, Petra Moreno & husband, Juan and Henrietta Montoya & husband, Jesus, all of Waco; grandchildren, Dominic Reyes, Sara & Aimee Sandoval, Lora Sue Claunch, Erika Ramos, Cristion Gonzales, Anastasia Gonzales, Julian Rae Sandoval, Christopher Greg Sandoval and Victoria Martinez. Pallbearers will be Chris C. Contreras, Jr., David Gilliland, Salvador Palacios, Jr., Julian Sandoval, Geary Stone, and Jim Vallentine. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Guerra, Charlie, John and Raymond Jimenez.
