Mrs. Oralia H. Martinez, 83 of Moody, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in Gatesville, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors with Father Albert Ruiz officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the funeral home.

Oralia was born January 8, 1937 in Yorktown, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Moody and member of Mission of San Juan. She married the love of her life, Juan Martinez on April 29, 1960. They celebrated 59 years of marriage together. Oralia enjoyed quilting, embroidery, puzzle books, dancing, and especially spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Oscar Martinez, brother, Victor Rodriguez.

Survivors include her daughter, Gracie Martinez of Waco, son, Marty Martinez of Waco, daughter, Oralia Menottis and husband, Gregory of Moody; 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, brother, Benito Reyes, Sr., and wife, Carol of Springfield, Ohio, sister, Elvita Smedkey and husband, Glenn of Van Buren, Arkansas, numerous nieces and nephews.
