Nova Laverl Allen, 95, passed away Nov. 11, 2014 at a local hospital.Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Nov 13, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov 12, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.Nova was born in Moody, May 1, 1919 to Frank and Effie (Hale) Pedigo. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Nova loved to go to the park and eat lunch under the bridge watching the kids play. Everyone she came in contact with, she loved and they loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents; eleven siblings; first husband Newton Raborn; and her second husband of over 50 years, Edgar Allen.Survivors include husband, R.C. Carpenter; son, Darriel Raborn; grandsons, Larry Raborn and Gregory Schrader; and several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
