Norman Bruce Woods, 82, of Waco passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026. A graveside service with military honors will be Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 11:00am at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Norman was born to Alvin Otto Woods and Bonnie Eloise Adamson Woods on January 13, 1944, in Berkeley, California. He graduated from Ganesha High School in Pomona, California in 1961. After graduating he worked as a mechanic at local car dealerships and gas stations. In April of 1969 Norman enlisted in the United States Army and served for 4 years until he was medically retired.

Norman married Renate Anna Freda Von Einsiedel in 1968. They built a life together until she passed in 2002. In 2004, he married Debbie.

Norman was a collector of things. He collected over 600 cars, worked on them, and then sold them. He also enjoyed tinkering on computers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Renate; and stepsister, Dorothy.

Norman is survived by his children, Michael Woods, Erica O’Boyle, Thomas Woods, and Eric Woods; stepson, Joseph Colvin; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
