Nelda Joan Densman October 19, 1939 – June 13, 2011 Nelda Joan Densman, age 71, of Waco, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family. Celebration of her life will be at 10 AM, Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Curt Kruschwitz officiating and burial to follow in the Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Services are under the direction of Connally/ Compton Funeral Directors. Joan was born on October 19, 1939 in Falls County, Texas to Walter and Ruby Gibson Braswell. She was married to Jack Densman on January 27, 1961. They had celebrated their 50th year wedding anniversary. Joan enjoyed hosting family gatherings, maintaining a beautiful home, inside and outside. She loved to read, quilt, and shop at thrift stores to find that one-of-a-kind treasure. She enjoyed her collectibles, her family and her dog, Tess, immensely. Nelda leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Jack Densman of Waco;Daughters, Sundie Francies of Lacy Lakeview and Pam Thomas of Waco; son Ronnie Densman of Waco; four grandchildren, Nicky, Chris, Jeremy, and Katy; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Claudia Wheelis of Lorena and Shirlene Eades of Tyler; brother, Jackie Braswell of Lorena, and her beloved dog , Tess.
