Neiel William Wohlers Jr.July 6, 1960 ~ October 28, 2008 Neiel "Pete" William Wohlers Jr. passed away suddenly at his home in Laredo, Texas on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m., Friday, October 31, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with the Rev. Rakshaganathan Selvaraj and the Rev. Don Loftin as celebrants. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Deacon Gregory George will recite the rosary at 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Stateroom 4. Friday before the mass friends and family are invited to join us for lunch at St. Jerome's. Neiel William Wohlers Jr. was born to Mardell Jean Malis and Neiel William Wohlers Sr. in Lake City, Minnesota. Neiel did his undergraduate work at St. Edwards, earned his MBA at UT McAllen and his MBS at Texas A&M in Laredo in Clinical Psychology. He was an ardent reader and loyal Minnesota Viking fan. At one time he was quite a gun collector. Preceding Neiel in death was his father on June 8, 2004. Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Mardy Wohlers of Waco; sisters, Susan Burbach and husband, Brian of Lino Lakes, MN and Mary Jo Perdue of Georgetown; nine nieces and nephew; and uncle, Richard Wohlers and wife, Carolyn of Cedarburg, WI. Pallbearers will be Michael Cox, Jeff Feller, Bob Ganninger, David Hunt, Joe Heape, Mike Lopez, Tony Raineri and Tom Wilson. The family requests memorials be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Laredo, Texas.
