Nancy Clara PaceJuly 3, 1931 – February 5, 2008 Nancy Clara Pace, 76, passed away Tues., Feb. 5, 2008. Visitation with the family will be 6 – 8 pm Fri., Feb. 8. Funeral services will be 2 pm Sat. at Connally/Compton Chapel with Reverend Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Nancy was born July 3, 1931 in Gholson, TX to Eva (Clayton) and Frederick Scott, Sr. After completing high school, she continued her education and eventually became the Associate Director of Nutritional Services at Providence Health Center. She was a faithful, dedicated employee and retired after 47 years of consecutive service. She was a Charter Member of the Lover's Leap Baptist Church, a member of the Dietary Managers Assoc., supported the Diabetes Assoc., thoroughly enjoyed all sports, getting vegetables from her garden, canning, and fishing. Nancy's great-grandchildren were the love of her life. She was preceded in deah by her parents; brothers, Raymond Scott, William Earl Scott, Sr., and Fredrick Scott, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Honnage and Jo-Laura Jones. Survivors include her brother, Cornelius Scott & wife, Bobbie of Temple; daughters, Cenovia Quarles of Waco; Beverly Colbert of Irving; grandsons, Marquis Simpkins of Mansfield; Jason Colbert of Irving; Tavis Evans of Dallas; Eric Colbert of Irving; great-grandchildren, Dayton, Jordan, Kyle, Tatiana, Cameron, Briaona, Kee-Kee, Laquesha, Simone and Mikayla.
