Miller M. Carlile died Nov 3, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Private burial was held in the family plot in Rosemound Cemetery.The family invites you to a visitation and reception on Thursday, Nov 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Reception Hall.Miller was born February 5, 1921, the 6th child of nine children born to John and Betty Carlile. He was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He proudly served his country for more than 23 years. He was a Japanese Intercept Operator in the 125th Radio Intelligence Company during World War II.Miller served overseas in New Guina, Indonesia, the Philippines, occupied Japan, Korea and Turkey. He was a fiercely independent person, an avid reader, and lifelong history buff.He is survived by sister, Louise Hoffeinz of Fort Worth, brother and sister-in-law, Woodrow and Cathryn Carlile of Waco and several nieces and nephews.
