Mr. Milford Warren, age 83, passed away on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011 in Waco. Graveside service will be held on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Waco Memorial Park in Waco with Pastors David and Petie Newsome officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug 14, 2011 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Mr. Warren was born on Aug. 2, 1928 to Scott and Bettie (Taylor) Warren in Hope, Arkansas. He served our country during World War II and received the Victory Medal.Mr. Warren resided in Waco since 1964 and He married Merlene Faye DeRossett on May 17, 1975 in Temple, Texas. He and Merlene's favorite hobby was raising registered Chihuahua's. Milford and Merlene enjoyed traveling to Canada and nearly all 50 states including Alaska, and Hawaii and enjoyed spending time with their family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Bettie Warren; 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Merlene Warren of TX; children:Glen Milford Warren of TX; Linda Pfeiffer and husband, Glen, of TX, Ronald Warren and wife, Jessie, TX, Teresa Petie Newsome and husband, David, TX, Myra Fritz of TX,Debra Sue White, of TX, Dawson Crum and wife, Ruth, of KY, Britton Crum of NC and Christia Montero and husband, Marvin, of TX; 26 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Ruby DeRossett and sister-in-law, Candice Lewis and husband, James.
